Default Balthazar's Spirit attribute question

It says on the skill that your rank in smiting prayers will determine the ammount of adrenaline gained each time something hits you. Is this incremental with every attribute point? Or are there steps like with other skills. For instance with mending you get +3 pips with 10-12 in healing, and with 13-16 you have +4. Is there a difference in small changes of smiting prayers, say from 9 to 10? If so, what is this difference?

Gah, I can't find it anymore. I remember seeing a thread where someone (I think Ensign) tested how adrenaline works, and found that each strike of adren was actually sub-divided into something like 25 points. Balth Spirit had a range of something like (10...25) points.

Wish I could find it.

Where 25 points = one hit of adren, roughly speaking.

That doesn't tell me how much adrenaline I get from getting hit. Say I get hit for 10% every time something hits me (prot spirit ftw.) I don't think the same breakpoints exist, but that thread you linked is quite confusing.

I'm not clear on what you mean. Balthazar's Spirit doesn't care how much damage you take per hit, if that's what you're getting at - any damage at all (even -0) gives the same amount, as determined by the breakpoints mentioned already.
